If you cannot make an appointment, it is important to let us know as soon as possible and preferably with at least 24 hours notice. We can then offer the appointment slot to another patient.
You can cancel an appointment:
- By telephoning the surgery.
- If you receive a text message reminder, by replying with the word “CANCEL”.
- Online via the NHS App:
If you have a Patient Access account, you can use it to cancel an appointment.
Please note that appointments with nurses and HCAs cannot be booked online and must be booked by telephone or in person.
Missed appointments cost the NHS a vast amount of money each year and affect the level of service we can provide. Patients who consistently fail to attend or cancel their appointments may be asked to register with another practice.
